Cupping.
Rows of bowls, hot water, and a spoon each. Cupping is how the coffee gets chosen before we commit to a lot, and it works just as well with a table of strangers around it.
World AeroPress.
Three minutes, one brewer, and a bench you share with everyone else competing. Our team has taken it on in the blue jackets.
Sensory tasting.
Blackberries, strawberries and grapes on a board next to the cups. Easier to find a flavour in a coffee once you have just eaten the thing it reminds you of.
AROCK x Provecho.
A collaboration release that ended up on a billboard over the freeway, and in a run of boxes that went out one at a time.
Pop-ups.
Evenings when the bar becomes somebody else's. Pizza out of the box, a projector on the wall, and the room fuller than it gets at 8am.
